Peace God. How you God?

The Nation of Gods and Earths

If you listen to hip hop, then you’ve already been exposed to it and you might not even be aware of it. Or if you’re aware, you may not understand the origins or seriousness of it.

Five Percenters. A group started by Clarence 13X in Harlem in 1964. Kind of a Nation of Islam offshoot but has some interesting philosophies in it, main points include the Supreme Mathematics, Supreme Alphabet, the 120 Lessons, and the breakdown of percentages of population.

  • The 85%, easily led in the wrong direction hard to be led in the right direction, who are the humble masses, mentally deaf, dumb, and blind to the truth about themselves and the world in which they live.
  • The 10%, who understand much of the truth but use it to their advantage to keep the 85% under their control through religion, politics, entertainment, economics, and other methods.
  • The 5%, who are the enlightened divine beings, having repossessed knowledge of the truth regarding the foundations of life and of oneself, and seek to punitively liberate the 85% through education.

The alphabet gives us the word “cipher” which we so commonly use to describe a circle where people are rapping. Gangstarr, Rakim, Wu-Tang, Erykah Badu, Talib Kweli, Big Daddy Kane, Nas, Prodigy, Busta Rhymes, AZ and many other folks know about the philosophies.

I’m not going to go too far into it because 1) I am not knowledgeable enough to do so 2) From what I do know, we could be here ALL NIGHT talking bout it. However, I challenge you to go do your own research sometime. Can’t say I am a member but if there is a 5% of people trying to liberate 85% of people, then I’m in that 5%…or at least I am striving to be.

Word is bond.

Peace God.
